Abu Dhabi officers club




            This Case study is showing the result of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, who sought to provide a modern and fully equipped complex dedicated to the Officers of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates. His support and that of His Highness The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Forces, and His Highness Major General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Minister of Defense, secured the implementation of these facilities in an architectural project that has come to represent an avant garde Landmark in Abu Dhabi. The club is in a critical position in Abu Dhabi; it is:

·       10 minute drive to Abu Dhabi International Airport.
·       20 minute drive to City Center.
·       10 minute drive to Golf & Equestrian Club.
·       4   minute drive to Zayed Sports City.
·       4   minute drive to Shopping Center.
·     3   minute drive to Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Center.

5.     What do you offer to your members (military and civilians)? 

6.     What are the ages that the club targets? 

7.     What sports can the members can do in the club?

8.     What are your contribution to society (example: special discounts for college students)? 

9.     From a scale of 10, how much do you rate the satisfaction of your members?

10.  Do you think that your customers and members are satisfied by your services?

11.  What makes you so sure; do you get direct feedback from them or because you rarely have complaints?

12.  Do you hold special events (shooting competition etc?)

13.  Do you sponsor any teams or any competitions?

14.  Will there be any new sports or activity added in the club in the near future?

15.  If you don’t mind me asking, what are your future aims and where do you see yourselves in the future?​

Alexander Gordon Higgins

Alexander Gordon Higgins




Alexander Gordon Higgin's  nickname was Hurricane Higgins. He was credited with bringing snooker to a wider audience in the eighties. He won 20 titles through his career. Higgins beat Cliff Thorburn and Terry Griffiths to win the Masters in 1978. In 2002 Steve Davis described Higgin's story in Clive Everton's TV documentary . His style was described as an exciting and explosive persona. He died at the age of 61 years old. He was from Northen Ireland. His doubles partner was Jimmy White. Higgins played against Davis and Ray Reardon.
